Shipping Terminal – San Lorenzo Plant
It is situated on the banks of the Parana river (km. 442), in San Lorenzo, Santa Fe province. From this port, Vicentin channels all its exports of grains, oil and sub-products. It has a dock suitable for unloading the barges.
In this terminal –which operates without restriction of depth and dimensions of the vessels - there are approximately 270 ships a year. It has two conveyor belts of 1200 tons per hour each, which make it possible to load two types of solid products (grains, pellets, flours) simultaneously. The terminal also has two docks for parallel unloading of solids and liquids (oil).
For its operating magnitude and for its important infrastructure of storage, this is considered one of the most important ports in the country.
Since 1997 there has been a new oil solvent extraction plant operating in the same site of the port, with a capacity of grinding 6,000 tons per day.
The following products are exported from Vicentin port terminal:
• Sunflower oil
• Soybean oil
• Whitened neutral cotton oil
• Pellets (cotton, soybean, sunflower)
• Bran
• Pelleted soybean bran
• Soybean flour
• Soybean, sunflower, maize and wheat
